Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 25, 2026
FreeQRGen ("we", "us", or "our") operates https://freeqrgen.app ("Site"). This page describes what data we collect and how we use it.
What We Collect
We use Google Analytics 4, a third-party analytics service provided by Google, to understand how the Site is used. Google Analytics collects information such as:
- Pages visited and navigation paths.
- Which QR code types are generated and from which part of the Site.
- Whether a generated QR code was downloaded or copied.
- General device, browser, and approximate location (derived from your IP address by Google).
- The page you arrived from (referrer URL), if your browser sends one.
Google sets its own cookies to measure this activity and processes the data under its own terms. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles it.
We do not collect your name, email address, or any content you enter into the QR code generators — that content is built into the QR code entirely in your browser and never leaves your device.
How We Use It
- To understand which features are used most.
- To improve the Site and fix problems.
We do not sell your data. Analytics data is processed by Google as described above; we do not otherwise share it with third parties.
Cookies
We use one first-party cookie (colorScheme)
to store your light/dark mode preference. Google Analytics sets additional third-party cookies
(such as _ga) to
measure Site usage. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
